PmWiki - Content Management System
Using The
Steamport Skin
This is a demo version of the Steamport Skin, loaded over an installation of PmWiki. You will find a few pages and links have been added to allow you to test the function of the Steamport skin. If things don't look right, check the /local/config.php file, and read the instruction there on customizing the config.php file. If you loaded this using your own config.php, you will still want to see what's different in the demo config.php to make things work better.
PmWiki, if you don't know already, is a mature, well developed Wiki framework built with PHP and designed for use as a CMS (Content Management System.) It is very flexible, easy to use as a Wiki/CMS, pretty simple to get started with as a designer, but also able to handle very complex design requirements. Having worked with both PmWiki and Wordpress I much prefer PmWiki. As the code is fully exposed, you can customize to your heart's content but be aware, most of what you want to do may have already been built in or made available with the numerous add-ins (called recipe's in the PmWiki world.)
Steamport is a Three-column, responsive skin for PmWiki, with a post-industrial feel, designed for easy installation and modification. It has been developed as a template in use on several different websites over several years. This Skin has a CSS-Responseve design: It changes appearance according to the size of the screen you are viewing on; sidebars will appear or disappear, and corresponding horizontal navigation bars will likewise disappear and appear. As a fun feature the SideBar Logo stays fixed in place as you scroll down the page.
You will find more details on using and customizing the Steamport skin here: Skin Settings
